The cost of the virus is more than death The virus cannot be counted in death alone. Every day you look at stats on your phone. Every day is another to stay at home. The virus can’t be counted in deaths alone.

Look at your face it’s so full of fear. Look at your eyes, they can’t shed a tear. Look for reasons, they’re everywhere. The fallout from the clickbait doesn’t care. The virus can’t be counted in deaths alone.

The daily stats bomb up our TV. Every day we’re told. “it could be me”. We can’t live our lives or even leave. The stats reminded me from the TV. The virus can’t be counted in deaths alone.

Numbers are senseless we can’t grapple. It seems we are cursed as biting the 1st apple. The doc can’t save you with their scalpel. Only 5 friends can gather in the chapel. The virus can’t be counted in deaths alone.

The Virus will travel in a tweet, The mind is fearful of what we eat. I take ten steps from you in the street. I can’t even hug you when we meet. The virus can’t be counted in deaths alone.

The Virus will not only be measured in coffins. The virus has sprung a million boffins. I cover my mouth when I’m a coughin. My peace of mind it is a robbing. The virus can’t be counted in deaths alone.

The Government messages are mixed, Our economy is far from fixed. Our lives are totally nixed. We just all watching tiger king on Netflix. The virus can’t be counted in deaths alone.

Conspiracy theories fill the airwaves. Who can we trust to be saved? But the road to hell in good intentions is paved. And some just need the attention they crave. The virus can’t be counted in deaths alone.

Our lives are bombarded with fear. It spouts on every media everywhere. We swear yell and just don’t care. What time is it, is the end now near? The virus can’t be counted in deaths alone.

So, in time we will understand. Did this virus come from the hand of man? Was it a plan to unsettle our life? To turn all our families into strife. The virus can’t be counted in deaths alone.
Banks are sayin, their profits are lost. But is this really the true cost. Their credit is as cold a frost. When out the window our dreams are tossed. The virus can’t be counted in deaths alone.

When all the toilet paper rolls have been used. When stop using our key(board)s to abuse. When we have a plan that isn’t confused. We’ll learn how just much we are bruised. The virus can’t be counted in deaths alone.

In the suffering, all is not lost. When the I’s are dotted, and the tees crossed. Then we can picture what is the cost. The pain that can’t be over glossed. The virus can’t be counted in deaths alone.

Somehow, I just feel. The reason why we are so unwell. We have taken without concern. Is this the lesson we must learn? Is this a hell in which we must burn? The virus can’t be counted in deaths alone.
