This is from a Trail cam, from the intrepid Thylacine seekers in South Aust, and Tasmania. The Thylacine is thought to be extinct however enough evidence exists to show that possibly a small population survive. There is a Facebook group “The Thylacine Awareness Group of Australia” “The Thylacine Awareness Group of Sovereign Australia is dedicated to the research, recognition and conservation of our most elusive apex predator, The Thylacine/Tasmanian Tiger/Marsupial Wolf. It is a place to report sightings and not fear ridicule from narrow-minded people. Ultimately, the group aims to prove the continued existence of Thylacines in both Tasmania and the Australian mainland.” Alas, the European settlers wiped out most of the animals, with the 1950s the last known Tiger died in captivity You can read more here

Have you seen the thylacine?
The stripy marsupial from the wild,
The tiger that caught my mind as a child
Is it hiding somewhere only appearing at night?
Tonight when we check we hope and pray
That we get to see one, oh what a day.
Where two worlds of lights camera and forest bisect.
No tiger tonight, just an alien masquerading as a stick insect.
